Going Home

Diet

Diet sheets and sample diets will be discussed and given to you before going home. If you experience nausea, vomiting, pain, or bloating, stop eating or drinking. Wait a few hours and try again. If symptoms persist, call your doctor.

Exercise

Be active. Walking is good. Try to walk daily.

Do not lift over 10 to 15 pounds.

Bowels

Following the surgery, you will have fewer bowel movements since your food intake is reduced.

Incision
