Dr. Alison A. Clarey has practiced General Surgery in the Dayton, Ohio  area since 1978. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, she attended the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, and graduated in 1972. Dr. Clarey completed her internship and surgical residency at Grandview Hospital, finishing in 1977.

For the past 30 years, Dr. Clarey has operated a successful General Surgery practice with offices in Dayton, Centerville and Huber Heights. Since 1985, she has been performing the Gastric Bypass procedures (Roux-en-Y). She is now doing Laparoscopic Gastric Bypasses and inserting the Lap Band. Dr. Clarey has medical staff privileges at Grandview Hospital, Southview Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital as well as other hospitals in the area.

A Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Dr. Clarey is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. She is the President of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. She has been appointed by Governor Bob Taft to the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine Advisory Board, serving until November, 2011.  In addition to serving as Chief of Staff at Grandview and Southview Hospitals in 1991 and 1992, Dr. Clarey has served as President of the American Osteopathic (Certifying) Board of Surgery. She is a Past-President of the Ohio Osteopathic Association, serving from June, 1999 to June, 2000.  Furthermore, Dr. Clarey is an Associate Professor of General Surgery at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is co-director of the Bariatric Surgery Clinic at Cassano Health Center. Dr. Clarey is a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) and a member of the Society of the American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).

Dr. David E. Bruce has practiced General Surgery in the Dayton, Ohio area since 1979. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College in 1970, he attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1974. Dr. Bruce completed his internship and surgical residency at Grandview Hospital, finishing in 1979. He has medical staff privileges at Grandview Hospital and Southview Hospital as well as other hospitals in the area.

A Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Dr. Bruce is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery and was the Program Trainer from 1986 to 1990. Currently he is a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and has been a Clinical and Oral Examiner since 1983. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is co-director of the Bariatric Surgery Clinic at Cassano Health Center. Dr. Bruce is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery (ASBS).
